All Workshops include...
Being greeted by Jill Corrigan, the owner and creator
of the garden.
|
Jill
Corrigan and her family have lived at the
Garden House for 10 years. In that time Jill
has, almost single-handedly, developed the
garden into the wonderful setting it is today.
The walled garden had been productive from
Victorian times, latterly enjoying a renaissance
as a market garden in the 1950s, but when
Jill took it over it had become swamped by
weeds and brambles. Visitors today will be
amazed at the transformation, and delighted
to see some of the plants that have survived
from a previous era.
Two new areas in the garden are being developed
to demonstrate "container and patio"
gardening and "cottage garden" techniques. |
